Introducing - 'Community' tiers and roles
With the onset of an ever-growing demand for all things local, many small, home-based local businesses are seeing tremendous growth. We recognize the urge for locals to 'buy local,
CommKit now has 3 tier community setup.
How does it work, you ask?
New Zealand, is divided into major regions e.g., Greater Auckland, Greater Wellington, Christchurch, and more. These are Tier-2 communities with a 'Regional Manager' looking after the communities within the region.
Further, each region had multiple zones e.g., For Greater Wellington, Upper Hutt, Hutt Valley, Wellington, Porirua, Kapiti, South Wairarapa, and Masterton. These are tier-3 communities with a 'Zonal Manager' to manage the communities within their zone.
Finally, each zone has tier-4 communities supported and managed by 'Community Administrator'. These are local level community on the platform and has all services, providers, and users in your local neighborhood.
Why did we do this?
As an end user, you see nothing different other than your community now shows your local tier 4 community. For sellers, you continue to operate and manage your store as normal, with your local community administrator available for support anytime you need.

As a seller on CommKit, would you like to know who are your true fans in the local community?
Introducing - TRUE FANS 😃
Brief Introduction to the concept - Based on the popular essay '1000 True Fans' by Kevin Kelly, we adapted it to charter a clear strategy for local small businesses to set up a profitable business.
For example, If your target is to make $100,000 in profit per year, from your small business - your number looks like the below illustration:
Target - $100K profit per year
$100k = (100 x (150 - 66) x 12)
Target Profit --> Number of clients x (average revenue per client -
Cost of Goods or services) x 12
On CommKit, every store now has an option for users to become your 'true fan'.
Benefits:
- Get undivided attention
- Deliver & delight with the best value
- Identify the most ardent supporters
- Specific goals
- Well understood audience
Building your local business with the first 100 true fans is now simple & easy.
